Found the perfect place to take out the #djiosmopocket and play. The little gimbal camera is small enough to fit into the tights of places. I prefer to use it with a variable ND that I don't have to change out for different lighting situations. It shoots 4K 60fps, and if you keep the ISO around 200, the images are clean and easy to work with.

All I had with me was my #iphone10. Watch me stumble in slow motion while filming a tracking shot in snowshoes at about 1:59 Siempre Tejanos is a working man’s band connected through shared histories in the Texas border country of their youth and the remnants of the labor camps and produce fields that brought and kept their families in the fertile farmland of far western Idaho. Plain and simple, the motivation for this band of friends in Idaho’s Snake River Valley is to “keep the Tejano culture alive” and keep the crowds dancing. Steven Hatcher: Idaho State Folklorist Santos Cruz, his brother Joel, and pal Ramón Gutierrez have been playing in various Blackfoot-Idaho Falls bands for several decades. Though none are currently involved with bands, their identities are still shaped by the music they play at informal gatherings and at church. As musicians and as members of their community, either in bands, in a church choir, or in their backyards, the three thrive on breaking the barriers between the artist, the art, and the audience. As Santos says, “we do it because we want a bit of ourselves to be present here in our community, a bit of our traditions, of our music, of our culture.” Steven Hatcher: Idaho State Folklorist The National Assembly of Arts Agencies took the time to speak with Idaho State Folklorist, Steven Hatcher about the origins of this project and its goals.
Good friend and multiple Emmy winning producer, Bill Pruitt was passing through and needed some shots near the American River for a pitch deck he was putting together. It was great to catch up and provide him with some sweet Idaho aerials...
Being of service to their community is what St. Anthony Choir is all about. Knowing that all of these films would be part of a series it was crucial that Steven Hatcher and I agree on the look and feel of the project. The ability to collaborate and be adaptable was imperative. Steven Hatcher: Idaho State Folklorist This film introduces you to a man of many talents and accomplishments. An advocate, activist, veteran, radio personality to name just a few. Unfortunately, the scope of this project demanded that we focus the edit on Damian's musical journey. You won't be disappointed.
