Share Your Story With The World

Vertical Divider
You may think you don't have a great story, but you do. We all do.

As human beings, we are all connected by the stories we share ...
the collective narratives that tether our existence across cultures and time.

People remember stories more than stats and facts. At FEAT1STFILMS, we focus on the ones that
build bridges to people across the world and in your own backyard.

Do you know what else people remember?
Striking visual imagery that places a premium on emotions, values and ideas.

At FEAT1STFILMS we create visual narratives that lead to authentic connections with people,
connections that make us human, that make us real.

The Idaho Mexican Music Project

In the summer of 2019, Steven Hatcher,
Director of the Folk & Traditional Arts Program at the

Idaho Commission on the Arts,
set off to document Mexican musical traditions
across southern Idaho’s Snake River Plain
with two fieldworkers from Boise State University
and a carload of borrowed audio and video equipment.

The Idaho Mexican Music Project was born.

This project for the Idaho Commission On the Arts involves crafting stories
from over 40 hours of footage.

Although we were not behind the camera or traveling across the state with
Steven Hatcher and his team of Boise State University volunteers...
working with the interviews and performance footage we certainly feel we have been along for the ride.

The completed project will consist of 18 short films,
that will preserve and shine a light on  to the cultural  landscape
in this corner of the world.

Enjoy the  tour...
